Gents!

In the drop down menu for the Modes Tab there is an option to "Restart Replay."

My question is, how do you stop it?

I believe the "Esc" Key will stop the replay and advance to the opponents turn.

Bumping this one up as I have always wished we could pause a long replay - ability to do that could actually save some marriages (Wife: "Come here, I need you." Me: "Wait a minute, I'm in the middle of a long Gettysburg replay." Wife: "You'll get over her right now if you know what's good for you!") :roll: And yes, hitting escape stops the replay but then goes right to your turn. If we have a way to "Restart replay" under the Mode tab, why (or do we somewhere) have a way to pause the replay? If not, what does the "restart replay" do?

Any suggestions or answers appreciated!

I know that hitting fast forward on the wife's conversation doesn't work.

The new Civil War Demo seems to be using the "Next Gen" update already. This ONLY works on that release at present. My guess is that this will all be part of the next Update from WDS.

It allows you to speed up or slow down the replay. The "Top Speed" is blazing fast while the slow speed isn't too much slower than usual.

You can Pause a replay by hitting Alt+Spacebar.

Thanks Blake. Finally had time to download the demo and check it out. This will be great! The variable speeds, the pause, all of it good. Can't wait to get it into all the other games.

All of the games have this ability now with the 4.02 updates released last week.

I've downloaded updates for a couple of titles. Just before you install them you get a warning that says:
"Due to changes in the PDT files it is recommended that you complete any ongoing games before applying this update."

Ah, I see that...that is old, should have been removed - it's from the 4.01 round...there were no additional changes with 4.02 - so if you are on 4.01 already no worries, if an older version then complete the matches...up to you.
