If you enjoyed the Battle of the Rappahannock After Action Videos, then you are in luck... there are more!

The recently completed Battle of Aldie was fought between two teams of three utilizing the Gettysburg game with a modified Second Bull Run OOB.

These videos tell the story of that battle.

For the Rappahannock videos, I released them weekly. For these, I will release them all at once. Maybe people like doing it one way more than the other. Some people like a weekly series while others just want to binge watch it all the way through. Let me know.

As a personal note, I was (and still am) refining my skills to make the production value better and more entertaining. In my upcoming series (yes there are more), you will notice a significant improvement in style, content, and graphics. During these videos I was trying out new ideas and techniques to present the information/battle in an interesting and amusing way.

The binge viewing of this series took place last night and even into the early hours of the morning

It was yet again another outstanding production, that's two so far, and if the style, content and graphics are to be further improved I simply cannot wait for more.

I am not a TV viewer generally and selective about my Youtube viewing also, but these AAR videos have most definitely joined my subscription list

As 'someone' :P said "Don't know how you do it bro." but just keep doing it :D

A fascinating series of videos which eloquently told the story of the battle from beginning to end.

Well done Blake & congratulations to both teams on a well-played game. I thought that the confrontation along the Braddock Road would surely lead to stalemate; what did I know!

I thought the same, lol.

No way Lee could roll over McDowell AND Sigel. In hindsight, of course he can

Oh Karl, no need to get mad. Your mistake was putting on the wrong uniform and joining the Yankees. Fortunately, you are now wearing the proper grey uniform for our latest battle. Hopefully, you will just have happy faces when that new one is over [there's certainly a lot of Yankee casualties thus far - may it ever continue].

General Lee had confidence in his Generals.
In the east, keep out of the open and keep at their flanks while blasting away at any Yankees that ventured into the open. Jackson kept pushing them back on their right. It then took some time [no roads and 'slow to move through' terrain] to get to the eastern extremity and on the Union left but once achieved they got pushed right back there too.
Also, in the next CSA move Banks' Corps would have been isolated and Drayton's fresh brigade would have arrived to assist Hood in ploughing through the then isolated Union Corps at Aldie.

I enjoyed watching the videos again. I especially like the 'time lapse' in the final episode: it's great to see the 'flow' of the battle.

Cheers to General Blake! His double-blind MP games are awesome, which results in me being less interested in regular games right now. (Because I don't have time to run multiple games at once.) His style of AAR is also fascinating. And his design and record level still keep improving. Learn from him.
