Did you know if you take music files and convert them to WAV files that you can then add them to the MUSIC folder of your game?

By doing this you can alter the background soundtrack while you play.

I mean, you could just listen to iTunes, Spotify, or whatever. But if you are an oddball looking to personalize the automatic playlist within the game, it can be done.

As you can tell... it was a slooooow night in the Strickler household.

But I did download some classic rock hits which now play in the background of my Franklin game. I was thinking of doing a strictly Civil War soundtrack, but then realized I could just open up my iTunes and listen to the playlist I have on there.

Which is why I labeled this a glorious waste of time

Yep -pretty much what I figured out when I worked out that despite it might feeling like it might be cool to add all sorts of 60's tunes to the Vietnam games- when all it took to do the same thing was come up with a playlist (mine might have been WinAmp at the time- but same idea) ... no point to it -- I read about some guys making soundtrack mods ... and there was some people with serious free time on their hands... don't be one of those guys. :) Better that way.

I know there are audio tracks of simulated Civil War combat. I thought of adding that to the background as ambiance. Maybe on another slow day sometime :)

Lets expand on this.....
do you listen to any type of music while gaming

I used to listen to CDs back in the day but now I stick to Sirius Radio.

70s on 7
Rock Hits of the 60s 70s 80s
Siriusly Sinatra
or
Yacht Rock (because who doesn't love some Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan?)

I added the Civil War background gunfire track to my game. I must admit it is a welcome change.
