Gentlemen of the Army of Tennessee <salute>

I am very pleased to inform you of the recent graduation of Fld. Lt. Miles Blazek from the VMI and his assignment to the AoT.

In the absence of our Army Tavern, whilst undergoing refurbishment, I ask that you bid our newest member welcome and raise a glass in his honor.

I will not at this time be providing a Free Tab at the MDT lest 'undesirable' elements might sneakily avail of our largesse. I shall however upon the return of our much missed tavern ensure the Fld. Lts. assignment is celebrated in the appropriate style of the AoT and whence the Army credit card shall be rightly employed.

Gentlemen, to Fld. Lt. Blazek, long life and good fortune.

Congratulations Field Lieutenant Blazek! Given we have been somewhat short of celebrations recently, while our usual watering holes are under refurbishment, I am happy to put my Confederate Express card behind the bar. Enjoy yourselves, gentlemen.

General Marshall <salute>

Sir,

In deference to your exalted position, I would respectfully suggest that flaunting the Confederate Express Card in the MDT is merely inviting the 'scoundrels in blue' to take advantage. I fully appreciate they get little opportunity otherwise but see no reason to facilitate them in their ungodly revelries at our expense, Sir !

Due to my understanding, your local watering holes are not undergoing refurbishment, but your Rebs have been barred from those establishments because some Rebs, who will remain nameless, like to dress up and party but not in their dress uniforms but in their best southern belle outfits :P

You must explain why the Army of Tennessee General staff looked like this at your last party.

Colonel McEntegart; as you know, I am extremely proud to serve in my beloved Gator Division & the Army of Tennessee, but while I am serving as President, I will be as even-handed as I possibly can be to all officers, whether they are wearing blue or grey coats.

I will leave the friendly banter in the capable hands of you and General Newell :)

Mr President <Salute>

I concur entirely with your view as set out above, Sir.
It is indeed an onerous task you undertake in your high position, being obliged to deal with people who are quite obviously, not gentlemen.

Indeed the AoT will not lower itself to grace and engage further with 'these' people !

Welcome to the colours young man and to the fine Army of Tennesse. When the refurbishment of our tavern is complete, I shall stand you a round of drinks or two.
