I play with all sound turned off. I'm an old man and if the sound of cannon or gunfire didn't scare me to death then my wife would finish the job. |

Having played the hell out of the Talonsoft games when I was younger, I still find Bobby Horton's music as the perfect background accompaniment. Years ago I bought about 15/20 songs I particularly enjoy from his various albums, which I now use as my playlist for gaming. His stuff is also available these days on Spotify. |

I personally like to sit and think with a din in the background. Too quiet is distracting. Ideally a football game or a hockey game on the TV. If it's music, ideally something instrumental or acoustic. 1st Lt William Palladino 1st Bde, 2nd Div, XVII Corps AotT |

I have 7 playlists I alternate for my daily walks and long drives, Rock, Country, Sailing, Drinking, Marches, ACW and Various (all of them) songs. They are on my phone and my pc and I play the ACW list while playing games. Since it has all the music from the Tiller games and a few others I don't get repeats when doing a long game turn. |
