Out of curiosity, does anyone own any prints by Civil War artists? If so, how did you come by it? Did you buy it online, in a gallery, or some other way? Just curious as I begin to look for some decor for my eventual gaming room/man cave.

<Salute> Sir,

Artist: John Paul Strain

https://kingjamesgalleries.com/

Scott posted some outstanding pictures from him some time back and shared some with me. Look in New Army of Tennessee Commander thread, 02/01/2023, 2nd page.

They would, for my money, do serious justice to any wargame room/man cave, full of color, vibrancy, atmosphere and 'putting you there' A winner I reckon, but what the hell would I know about Art

I have a John Paul Strain print ("The Horse Marines"), framed and hanging in our guest bedroom.

I bought it online, but it's been so long now I've forgotten where I got it from. :(

I love his work, and expect to get more in the future.

Wasted in the guest bedroom I respectfully suggest Sir  Over the mantle in the main living area or better still, in your games room/man cave etc etc :o
A wonderful print too, you can almost smell the greenery in it

"Wasted in the guest bedroom I respectfully suggest Sir" Are you kidding me? I want to impress my guests with how cultured I are! :D

I have 60 plus Troiani prints and a few George Woodbridge. I've purchased most from EBay. Prices plummeted during the pandemic/political turmoil of 2020, and they were selling for way under value. The prices have returned to around normal now.

I have a couple of framed prints by Mort Kunstler hanging in my gaming room. There's a gallery/antique shop here in Fredericksburg that has many of his prints. His website is here:

The Angel of Marye's Height

and The Stone Wall

On the wall over my monitors hangs the Blood Stained Banner. My thirty-plus, woke daughter hates this room... just wait until I hang the Stars & Bars

I plan to add prints from other battlefields near here, C'ville, Wilderness and Spotsy C.H., plus the Stars & Bars. I might also add Brandy and Trevillian Stations as a reminder to improve my cav usage
