Officers of the Army of Tennessee <salute>

I wish to draw your attention to the following matter of some importance. Two new forums have been created within the Southern Raiders War College Forum, specifically, the Army of Northern Virginia Forum & the Army of Tennessee Forum.

The absence of CSA specific forums, for some considerable period of time now, has been a cause of concern to me and indeed many others alike within the ACWGC. Now, thanks to the unceasing effort and unrelenting work of Scott Ludwig, Blake Strickler and many others, these forums have once again been restored, and in all their glory. On behalf of the AoT I offer my deepest thanks to all concerned for the restoration of this much missed and much needed facility. The forums as noted are secure and private to members of the CSA solely and available to view by members of each army equally.

In respect of the Army of Tennessee forum I wish to note the following for the attention and guidance of Officers of the Army going forward.

(i) I propose over the coming months, on a phased basis, that all matters relating to the Army will be posted in the AoT forum exclusively. An example being the Mid Month Muster Notice which to date I have emailed individually to each officer of the Army. Going forward this notice will be posted in the AoT forum. The monthly Newsletter and all other relevant information pertinent to the Army will also be posted in this forum. I would therefore urge each Officer to visit and peruse this forum on a reasonably regular basis that he may be conversant with the current happenings within his Army. It will therefore ultimately become the responsibility of each officer to visit the forum and apprise himself of its content.

(ii) Nothwithstanding (i) above, any matter of personal import to an individual Officer will continue to be dealt with on an individual basis and personal email as necessary.

(iii) I have created a New Tavern, an AoT specific tavern, for the Officers of the Army. It is dedicated to that great mountain range of our Army State, The Great Smoky Mountains and therefore named The Smoky Mountains Tavern’. This tavern is open to all Officers of the Confederate States Armies, ANV and AoT alike and all are welcome.

Hurrah! Hurrah! For Southern rights hurrah!

And if you'd like to hear Donald Sutherland (as P.G.T. Beauregard) sing it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb-bgLY96ko.

Many are rather shy and will not say a thing, especially those unused to the rough and tumble of the Confederate forums. However, many shall see our discourse.

On this forum 'views' generally outnumber actual replies by at least 10:1 by the time they move off the front page. Some, such as this one (https://wargame.ch/board/acwgc/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23334), even exceed 100:1.

Sir,

If you and your associates had the time and commitment to overcome the problems encountered in returning the forums to us, the very least that might be expected is that we would respond in like manner and ensure their existence is brought to the attention of the troops and encourage their participation within them. You may rely Sir, the Army of Tennessee is on it !
