Gentlemen,

Since it is World Mental Health Day today, I wanted to say a few words about that. We all have many pressures upon us, and many commitments. Life is hard. One of the many reasons why I am glad to live in the 2020s, as opposed to the 1860s, is how much more compassion and understanding we now have for people suffering with their mental health. Even so, suicide remains the biggest cause of death for men under 45 in the UK. I dare say it is a similar story across most of the countries we're all from, and I am regretfully sure many of us will have first-hand experience of this.

Please remember, if something is proving hard (and in the last couple of years, such staples of everyday life like paying mortgages/rent, putting food on the table and running a car have all been a lot harder) then please reach out. We're all lucky to have this fantastic hobby as a means to switch off from everyday life for a bit, so let's keep right on with the fantastic job I know we do of looking after our gaming friends & please remember - it's OK not to be OK.
