I am sad to report the loss of Major Phoenix Rann, 5/3/V, AotP. Phoenix was a member of our club since 2020 and passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 55, after a gallant 6-year battle with cancer. His obituary is posted at https://www.snyderfuneralhome.com/obitu ... ent-130428.

It is indeed sad news, to hear of the passing, of any member of our club, and most especially one so young as John.

My condolences to his wife and family. May he Rest in Peace.

I am very sorry to hear this news. I played Phoenix in the Lieutenants' Cup and a couple of times after that, and he was not only a talented gamer, but a lovely and witty man also. He was a happy family man, with three daughters. He loved his pets & he had served the United States honourably & well. A life well lived & cut short all too soon. This is all so very sad.

I want to thank General Eichelberger for his kind and compassionate words to Shereen, Phoenix's widow, on behalf of us all.

I am really sorry to hear that. I remember writing Phoenix when I had some admin duties here. Rest peacefully, brother, you were far too young.
