Some of you old timers may remember Lars Wistedt. I played his training game maybe back in the late 1990's or so and we continued playing games both in and out of the club up until a few years ago when he no longer had as much free time and had more travel having been elected to the Swedish Parliament. And, as a member of Parliament, he was instrumental in getting Sweden admitted to NATO last year. We became such good friends that he said if we ever came to Sweden we could stay at his house.

Anyway, while on a NATO visit to Montreal a few days ago, he died suddenly. He was only 70.

Rest in peace Lars. I'll miss you!

I didn't know Lars well but I recall him when he was AotC CO back in the early 2000's.

If you are in touch with his family please pass along our condolences.

I'm very sorry to hear this Doug! I interacted with him some over the years and he was always a great member of all three clubs.

My condolences to his family & friends.
