Out of random curiosity...
Every sports arena now has a sponsorship deal with a large company for the naming rights of their stadium (AT&T Field, PNC Park), would you be okay with the US Government selling the naming rights to National Parks for, let's say $10 Million dollars to companies? Gettysburg gets a $10 Million dollar check for the park for improvements while Papa John's (in this example) gets their name plastered all over the park signs, brochures, and on the uniforms of the park service employees and vehicles.
Would you be okay with "Papa John's Presents the Battle of Gettysburg" if it meant park improvements, better trails and roads, and better staffing? Maybe Tractor Supply Company's Yosemite Park. Or, Piggly Wiggly's Battle of Shiloh.
It might sound like a silly question but would anyone be surprised to see this happen in the future? Probably not.
