Something to consider when you recrew artillery. A morale value of "F" corresponds to a numerical value of 1. (This shouldn't be different for an ad-hoc gun crew.) The die roll can be 2-6 for the unit to fail the morale check. I won't play without the Artillery Capture Option on. That being said I rarely fire captured guns once my opponent is further than 2-3 hexes away, casualties it causes are not worth the ammo loss. Once that happens I may send a small high Fatigue unit to keep it for the VP's and spike it if it looks like he will recapture it. If my opponent does not spike my guns he captures and I retake them I only recrew it to move it away so my opponent can't take it again. |
