Hello everyone, My name is Kevin, your newest, wet-nosed cadet. I picked up the WDS CWB demo a few weeks ago, really liked it, and got to yearning for the days of S&T Magazine. I now have the Franklin, Gettysburg and Antietam campaigns too. Gen. Schwartz is running me though my drills (much appreciated) and we're into turn 1 of Bristoe. Once again, Warren's fat is in the fire and we'll see if I can 'yank' it out for him. Doubtful as I haven't played against a person in a tactical game in a very long time. My historical interests tend towards Ancient and Medieval Rome, the ACW, and WWII. The last things on the ACW I read were Grant's Memoirs (lively, engaging) and Foner's "Reconstruction", which I did not get through. |

Cadet Kevin Jones! <salute> Welcome to the ACWGC, a great place to meet like-minded folks who have a great interest in the American Civil War and enjoy gaming it! It's always a pleasure to meet new members and share some gaming information! I must confess that I am bewildered that a Southern Boy would join the dark side but so be it! Kevin has been a model new recruit and is prompt in all of his communications with members of the ATA! A great addition to our gaming Club! Your Obedient Servant, General Nick Kunz Commanding, Armstrong's Cavalry Brigade, 2nd Corps, AoT Commandant, ATA ![]()

Kevin, Welcome to the club. I've been at this for 5 months now so I'm fairly new as well. I'm an old guy who recalls the days of S&T magazine, Avalon Hill, SPI and The General as well. I've really enjoyed the last few months coming up to speed with these WDS ACW titles. In my experience the guys around here are very nice and always happy to help out a noob. I'm sure you going to have a great time as well. |

Kevin, We are glad to have you on board! I too used to read S&T and The General. Good days. I have no doubt you will enjoy the club as much as you enjoy the games and will find there are many a good Billy Yank and Johnny Reb here to play with. |

Welcome aboard, Kevin! Glad to see another young BLUE officer among us. Best of luck in your fights to suppress the rebellion. Just an FYI, those dirty rough looking rebels aren't that tough. ;o) |

Grant's memoirs were one of the last ACW books I read before signing up too, now I'm looking to read Sherman's memoirs too (free here). |

Welcome to the club young man. I am somewhat disappointed that you are disciple of that corrupt cause that is the Union and presumably a consumer of low alcohol beer |
