Hi all!

My name is Greg Schipp, a brand new cadet dipping his toes into online wargaming. I'm a new, but growing fan of WDS games. I've been a wargamer (mostly solo) for a few years now, playing tabletop games like Chosen Men and Lion Rampant. I'm currently painting up a German and French army for WW1. Apart from wargaming, I'm also a reenactor, portraying a Continental soldier with the First New Hampshire Regiment. When I'm not geeking out on history, you can find me fishing, hiking, doing leatherworking(starting out), and exploring New England with my dog Bailey. I look forward to playing some games with you gentlemen. See you on the battlefield!

Greg,

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you. How do you like being a reenactor? Always thought that seemed pretty interesting. I think a lot of us started out war gaming solo, I know I did back in the good ole days. Sounds like you will fit right in wither everyone, even if you did join the wrong side :)

Look forward to gaming with you!

Cadet Greg Schipp! <salute>

Welcome to the ACWGC, a great place to meet like-minded folks who have a great interest in the history of the American Civil War!

It's always a pleasure to meet new members and share some gaming information, I have enjoyed our emails!

Colonel Scarbrough will be setting you up for a match in the Lt's Cup once you have completed your training!

By the way, an excellent post here at the Mason Dixon Tavern (MDT)!

Great welcome from you all. To answer some of your questions.

I enjoy reenacting very much, particularly with the history nerds that I fell in with two years ago. This year will be a great year commemorating the 250the anniversary of the Revolution. I haven't done scuba diving. I'm not keen on being underwater, haha. As for WDS titles, I own a few. For Civil War, its Chancellorsville and the Civil War Battles Demo. Others, I have the Great Northern War, France '14, Vienna 1683, Wellington's Peninsular War, Campaign Jena-Auerstedt.

It is great to see young people joining the club, so welcome young man. However, given the number of new Smurfs I am concerned that there is some sort of outbreak of Union Delusion among the young. Do we need to have some sort of GoFundMe page to pay for phycological help. Or so I take a lead on this issue and get these young men to the Vicksburg Gentlemen's club to show them how a Southern Officer spends about 50% of their time. Then on the Mrs Miggins Bordello and Pie Shop, where we spend the other 50%. It has got to be better than running around a battlefield in a blue uniform, which is very very dangerous.

She opened her first CSA franchise in Vicksburg in 1844 - damn fine pies and all the hot loving you can pay for  When you get out of the Union academy look me up for a battle. You can help me make my win loss record even more appalling. I am better at the bar than battle.

Welcome aboard Gregg. I think you'll find a bunch of friendly and helpful guys around here to help you do more than dip your toes into PBeM wargaming. Best of luck!
