All.

It seems like we are getting an influx of people

I find it interesting that often many guests are looking in.

I think posts about battles, tactics ect would increase people joining. We should also let them know about the Demo game or even have a link to the demo game.

I realize that the club is yankee vs reb and we have Maneuver/Battles.

I also think other sub groups within the club could be useful such as Teams You can join for MP play and explain that MP games let you Experience A large Battle without the Time it takes to move Large Armies

Also what a great way to learn the game playing along side good players and it is fun dealing with the unknown new guy. Also we should try to define the optional rules as to most historical, most game playable. Many of the scenarios optional rules can make them better if you apply the options for play balance. Example IMO rout off Imo makes them better if games much more fun but that’s just me

While I like to win as much as most. I want to play have fun and recreate history

We could have a pinned thread that says: Guests - Please read what the ACWGC has to offer

I know this is stated somewhere, but it wouldn't hurt to have something here also.

I hate to be the one to share this... but the "Guests" that you often see listed at the bottom (right now it says we have 83 Guests for instance) are actually automated bots which are scanning forums and webpages looking for personal data. These bots are utilized by some legitimate companies and other illegitimate companies for various reasons. The harmless bots are looking for keywords which might match what someone is googling. But the harmful bots are hoping to find names, email addresses, and other data which identifies you and might be useful for nefarious purposes.

So while it might look like we have dozens or hundreds of potential visitors checking us out at any given time... we really might just get one or two a week.

I've generally found that MP games are slower than one on one games. Unless a MP game has committed fast responders on both sides the turnaround for a turn can stretch to a few days, sometimes longer if there are slowpokes on either team.
I prefer the larger multi-day battles, but I now only embark upon them if I know my opponent is a fast responder, otherwise they become tedious affairs.
