What does it take to add either a flag or other graphics to the signature area when you post a reply.. Thanks in advance

This is what I put in my profile signature -

IN THE LAST LINE, REPLACE THE 3 x's (xxx)inside the brackets with the letters <b>img</b> (for image)
Notice the last line is enclosed in [xxx][/xxx] which designates whatever is between them as an image. The image must be on a website somewhere and you must have the link to the exact file location. My signature flag is not on a web page but is in the image folder of my web page. If you don't have a web page but have a file, I would be glad to put it on my website where you can link to it.

The thrust of the FAQ is that you upload an
image to a website and then link to that image.

Remember to link to the server directory location itself.
