I recently completed training, but I don't know where or if I have been assigned to a unit. I would like to start a game, but I see where the rules require me to notify my Corp Commander.

It would appear you have been assigned to the AoJ. At least I saw a copy of a note from the Eastern Theater commander to the AC of the AoJ sent 18 July. If you haven't heard from the AoJ yet maybe you should inquire with the AC.
