Gentlemen.

I wish to completely Uninstall HPS Ozark. In a stand alone scenario, My opponent's turn has arrived and I go thru' the usual routine. After entering my password and answering Yes to seeing the Replay - I get "Error in reading the File." The screen remains black with one Hotspot Hex - top left. i can advance no further nor can I reverse the Turn.

I had this problem with HPS Shiloh a short while ago and corrected it with a second re-install - the 1st didn't do anything for the Problem. However, reinstalls aren't working for me this time 'round.

I reckon that because Shiloh was "fresh" on my Comp, whatever changes that were made to my system - that perhaps it hadn't "embedded " itself in any of the registry Files etc. and that is why the Double re-instal - uninstall re-install process worked.

Ozark s at least 12 months on my system . . . where would I find references/alterations related to the game in system files and how do I remove them?

However, a couple of questions, first. Ozark should be at v1.03 for both players or neither player should have upgraded. I see that you have had this problem, before and have reinstalled the game and your scenario worked for a time?

Make sure that the game file was not corrupted in transit. To be sure, ask your opponent to REZIP the file and resend it. If you both are NOT ZIPPING the file, than you should as there is a <u>potential</u> for corruption in sending the file.

As for uninstalling the game, the ADD/REMOVE feature should work fine for the game, but go one step further and DELETE the entire Shiloh folder after the uninstall.
When you reinstall the game, try the game on any stock scenario, just to make sure it will work, then apply the V1.03.

Next, try the new scenario file that you are playing.
