Post subject: | Sound Effects |
Gentlemen, I normally play with Sound Effects off. But last night I was checking out some different scenarios and I played the little 20-turn Shiloh naval battle where the Rebs are trying a naval raid on Cairo. Nothing much was happening, so I turned on the Sound Effects just for fun. It was kind of interesting watching the handful of gunboats firing at each other at point blank range and hearing the artillery fire. But I forgot to turn the Sound Effects off when I finished that game and turned in for the night. Tonight, I played the final Reb turn of the second battle in a Shiloh campaign, in eastern Tennessee/Kentucky (Mill Springs or Logan's Crossroads -- I'm not sure which). When I brought up the replay, the Union men started blasting my line and the sound caught me totally off guard [:0] . The guns were firing, with the bands playing in the background -- it was an eerie feeling [xx(] ! I've turned the Sound Effects back off [;)] ! Your humble servant, Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory David W.
