Out here in the Great Pacific Northwest (Seattle area) we had what would be called a record setting temperature day. Most unusual for this time of the year for us! About as prefect of a day as can be had!

We will keep you EastCoasters in mind as we fight to stay cool in our summer heat wave!

Well Bill,

Although, there for a moment I thought I saw some Gettysburg Battlefield Monuments floating by, I've seen worse. However, our area did see 14" of water compared to 17" when Angus hit. Anything like this is a mess and thanks for asking.

I'm in PA - York County, just under 4 miles from the Susquehana River. Since I'm up a hill I figured I was safe from flooding. But with all the rain the ground couldn't hold any more. So from further up hill, it came down into my house and I had six inches deep in my barroom. Luckily I anticipated some water, just not this much. Just in case most things I'd already put up off the floor on tables, stacked bricks, etc. Took the pump for draining the hot tub on the floor to pump all the water out. Takes 1 hour to pump out the hottub, but it took 14 hours to pump all this water out. Carpet still drenched as I use a shop vac to try to clean that up. Smells of mildew now. Still, not as bad as a lot of folks, but cutting into time doing pbem turns! :)
