I've a birthday coming up and may add to my collection. I have all the BG games (though I much prefer the Campaign system) as well as Campaigns Gettysburg and Corinth. Yes, you left out Ozark. Shiloh would give you some of the Western theater battles but I'd recommend Peninsula. Not only can you fight out the Seven Days battles but you can play the whole campaign as one big battle. General Mark Nelms 6/3/IX/AoO "Blackhawk Brigade" |

I only have Gettysburg, Corinth and Peninsula so can't really comment on the others but I would definately recommend Peninsula. It's a very well crafted effort indeed. General Letus, Of the two HPS games you already own, which do you prefer? Gettysburg offers larger maps and huge numbers of units. If you prefer that one, I'd suggest Penninsula. Personally, I prefer the smaller number of forces in Corinth. The maps are still plenty large enough to allow lots of maneuver and to prevent the gamesman tactic of anchoring lines on map edges. I also prefer the terrain (denser woods, more creeks, etc.) If Corinth is your pleasure, I'd recommend Shiloh. Penninsula offers lower-quality Rebs, since most units were still green, so there might be more balance. Now if you want REALLY low-quality Rebs, go for Ozark. We're talking early-war hillbilly militia. And if the music is your favorite part of the games, you just can't beat Ozark! I have Franklin, but I haven't played it enough yet to have a feel for it at all. Your best bet, in my opinion, is to get all three -- if you go through Rich Hamilton, he can throw in any two other HPS games for free (if that offer is still valid). If you really can't afford that many right now, you may find someone else to go in with you to split the cost of three games and divide the two free games.
