Post subject:  1st HACW - Big Bethel - In play.

Big Bethel, Va. June 10, 1861.

The Federal's control of Fort Monroe on the tip of the Virginia Peninsula enabled them to occupy Hampton and Newport News.
To block Union access up the peninsula from this stronghold, the Confederates build a mile-long line of entrenchments north of Marsh Creek near the village of Big Bethel. On June 10,US Brigadier-General E.W. Pierce led two infantry columns to attack the Confederates at Big Bethel.

We need one USA officer and one CSA officer to play the first battle of the 1st Historical ACW tournament.
The first two officers to reply to this topic will fight the battle.
This battle is worth 8 victory points for the 1st HACW.

The Big Bethel is a custom scenario that can be found at the ACWCGDC.
You must use the 1.01a patch version of Campaign Corinth.
The scenario ID is Bethel_EAW.scn ( 27 turns).

Please take a look on the rules of the tournament at this site:

Good luck, gentlemen.

I'll try it, but what game are we using?

BTW, I was just at Fort Monroe about one week ago. It is an intersting place. It is the largest STONE fort in the US.

OK, looks like a Corinth MOD.

It would help if the actual game to be used and if it is a mod is posted with the challenge information.

Lt. Gen. Sands,

If I'm right, all the scenarios at the ACWCGDC use the Corinth game. You must create a "Campaign Civil War" folder and use the 1.01a Corinth patch.

You are presently registered for the Big Bethel scenario; if you have problems with the installation, just send me a note. We will try to fix it.

If all is in order, please contact Maj. Gen. Turner to start the battle.

Good luck, Sir.

I already have a couple of Corinth mods, so that isn't the problem.

My point was to mention the game engine, i.e. Corinth, BGBR, BGG, Camp Gettysburg, etc.

Lt. Gen. Sands,

I'm taking note, I will specify this for future scenarios.

Thank you, Sir.
