Gentlemen of the North, ( I use the term lightly)
I have designed a grand scenario ( 250 turns ) hypothesizing a preemptive strike by Southern forces against Chattanooga at the start of the Atlanta campaign.
Southern Situation: The Southern high command has decided to try and for stall Sherman's invasion of Georgia by first sending Forest's cavalry against Union supply lines ( off map) in east Tennessee. This has delayed Sherman's army concentration by a week. In the mean time Johnston has been reinforced by troops from Mississippi and launches a strike against Thomas's Army of the Cumberland at Chattanooga with the object of capturing Chattanooga or at least bottling up the Union forces.
Union Situation: Thomas has 2 Corps of infantry plus 2 cavalry divisions already concentrated at Chattanooga. He will soon be reinforced by XX Corp, McPherson's Army of the Tennessee and Schofield's Army of the Ohio. The Union object is to defend Chattanooga and defeat the Southern forces.
Also taking the lead from the Overland game I have made changes to the pdt. file. They are:
1) Stacking limit reduced from 1000 to 700.
2) Weapons effectiveness reduced 50%
3) increased chances of entrenching from 18% to 50%.
Also I have supplied several union brigades with boats for river crossing
I will supply new scenario file, pdt. file and map file.
I am looking for experienced Union officer to exchange 3+ turns per week. If interested please send courier to my HQ.
