Confederate adversary wanted for a monster scenario:
Terrible Swift Sword: Battle of Gettysburg Game
https://forum.wargameds.com/viewtopic.php?t=1608
All Optional Rules ON minus: MDF, QFM and QMM
Home Rules: 6-8 artillery guns per hex.
1 or 2 turns per week minimum and a lot of patience
I want to play as historically realistic and have a partner to comment and not just looking for promotion points.
Thanks.

Gentlemen, Sirs! <salute>

I am wishing all of you an enjoyable fight!

Over the past year I have been involved in 5 of these battles at the TSS!

I was badly out maneuvered in my one completed fight by the wiley General James Whitehead and his CSA cavalry forces but am enjoying my remaining 4 other maneuvers!

Please keep in mind that this is a possible 5-day affair so that what might look bad on the first day can be made up at a later time!

Respectfully,

Your Obedient Servant,

General Nick Kunz
Commanding,
2nd Corps, AoT

Thank you General Kunz,
I'm sure the Confederate team will appreciate your veteran experience in this epic scenario.

I downloaded this pre 4.05.1 and it did not work for me, now I am on 4.05.1 and I can't find the download and it appears this scenario is still broken for 4.05.1, will there be a fix?

Indeed, in the new update it does not work, we had to go back to v4.04.01

Sorry if this is a bit long but there is a lot to cover.

I just completed updating my Campaign Gettysburg to 4.05, I have the following scenarios using the large map for Gettysburg TSS scenarios provided to Tom Porto by David Freer.
!!Gettysburg Campaign 1-4 July (H)Rev 1A.scn
!!Gettysburg Campaign 1-4 July Variant-All In.scn
!!Terrible Swift Sword July 1 - 5, 1863 - More Troops.scn
!!Terrible Swift Sword July 1 - 5, 1863 No Fixed Units.scn
!!Terrible Swift Sword July 1 - 5, 1863.scn
!!Weather Terrible Swift Sword July 1 - 5, 1863 - More Troops.scn
!!Weather Terrible Swift Sword July 1 - 5, 1863 No Fixed Units.scn
!!Weather Terrible Swift Sword July 1 - 5, 1863.scn

These all use the GB Campaign.map and they open fine for me, not only that but an old Hot Seat game and an old pbem also open fine.
Included in my install for Getty was a new GB Campaign.map dated 04/15/2024.
In the latest update WDS appears to have changed the .map version to 2 and encrypted the .map files, the old ones will not work in 4.05.
They apparently decided to add the large GB Campaign.map file to the game.

I have another scenario !!!TSS_Weather.scn that use a different map, !!GB Campaign.map, it showed a black screen.
Once I changed the map name to GB Campaign.map it too opens fine.
According to my text program's Compare Tool the old version 1 files are identical except for the name.

If the scenario you are playing uses a map file other than GB Campaign.map you can change it with any text editor.
Open the .scn file with a text editor, if you have Wordpad it will do, if you see this

18
Terrible Swift Sword July 1st - July 4th 1863
1863 7 1 5 0 1 0 1 213
10 30 60 0 0
10 30 60 0 0
-2000 0 4000 6000
0 0 0 0 4292 0 0
6000 3800
!!GB Campaign.map
!!July1GBCampaign.oob
W-confederate standard.pdt

Change the .map filename to GB Campaign.map, save and you should be ok.
If you're not comfortable doing it yourself contact me and I'll send you a copy of my .scn file.

Could you repost the new modified files? Or post a link again to them?

OK to make it easy I loaded updated zipfiles with the 3 sets of Gettysburg large map scenarios I have to the Engineering page.

Getty_TSS_Blitz - this is the original version I downloaded from the Blitz several years ago.
The only thing I changed in the scenario was I fixed a missing release time for one fixed brigade.
It has the 2024 version 4.05 copies of the map and pdt files.
https://acwgcunionarmy.com/acwgc-engine ... z_4_05.zip

This is Tom Porto's 1A update from28 Aug 2019.
The only thing new here is the 2024 version of the map, this still has the original pdt file.
https://acwgcunionarmy.com/acwgc-engine ... e_4_05.zip

This one may be the one that everyone is complaining about not working, it used a map called !!GB Campaign.map.
Once I changed that to GB Campaign.map it opens fine, the zipfile also contains the 2024 4.05 pdt file

With this last version TSS works.
