Colonel Gleason! <salute>

Jim, that narrows down a few books I guess, haven't read anything recent being the past 10 years!

How about a couple of titles and published dates?

By the way, welcome back to active gaming!

Respectfully,

Your Obedient Servant,

General Nick Kunz
Commandant, VMI

Ronald White in 2016 and Ronald Chernow in 2017 each wrote excellent biographies of Grant. Both are worth the read!

I read Ron Chernow's book "Grant" when it was released, thought it was a well done biography.

Wasn't aware of White's biography, "American Ulysses" will look in to it.

Also haven't read Charles C. Calhounā€™s 2017 "The Presidency of Ulysses S. Grant".
Chernow goes into his presidency a bit in his book noting Grant's biggest problem being he was a decent man who was a bit too trusting with his associates but the reviews indicate Calhoun's book is an in depth look at his presidency.

The Calhoun book sounds interesting. I'll check it out. Thanks Ken.

The Chernow biography was a good read.
