Book by Edward G. Longacre. Just finished reading this book, interesting biography on John Buford. Covers his army service fairly well something I wanted to learn more about as you seldom see him mentioned except in references to Gettysburg. The author had to rely a lot on the writings of others who knew Buford as he left little of his own correspondence to study. Was not familiar with the writer but he has written several other biographies of Civil War officers. |
