With so many challenges to preservation these days it is always nice to hear of a victory!

Our resident Gettysburgian(?) Michael Barycki will have to head over and take some photos of the new battlefield land sometime. I assume the land will eventually be incorporated into the National Park after they tear down the modern structures.

I live literally across the street from this site (looking at across the Chambersburg Pike from my window as I type this). It's on the site of a former golf course and I walk it often. The NPS owns most of the old course plot and I am hoping that preserving the rest of the area will allow it to be even more accessible for the public.
