Officers of the Union Army:

The General-in-Chief seeks a dedicated officer eager for fame and advancement to volunteer to serve as the Commanding General, Army of the Potomac.

There is no minimum rank for this position ... all interested officers may step forward !

Army Commander Duties are listed in UA General Order #7.

Interested officers may contact Maj Gen Mitch Johnson (Commander, AotT) for additional information about AC responsibilities and Field Army administration.

Great News! Lt Gen Richard Whipkey has volunteered for, and been selected, as the new Commanding General, Army of the Potomac.

Gen Newell will assume the duties of the Union Army CofS.

Rick,

I understand, but do not be unsure or indeed overwhelmed, be confident and bold, put you own stamp upon the AotP, you are in Command !

It is not so long ago I found myself in exactly the same position as you are now facing..........you have my email, hit me up with anything with which I may assist. We may wear different tunics but we are General Officers and Army Commanders and that Sir, sets us apart.
