Post subject:  A Suggestion

I used to play a game called Chain of Command
(they went bankrupt...too bad, good game).
We all kept in touch in MSN Messenger (free service) so we knew when each other were on.
Do you think using a service like MSN would make sence here?
We could get multi player games going (even if it's only 1 v 1).
I think it might stimulate some interest in the CCC for gamers looking for "Quick Action" when they sign on.
It worked very well in "Chain of Command",
perhaps it would work here too.
What do you think?

I posted this because I read Mr Hamilton's Post of 31 July Last regarding Club Participation.
Many good points were made and then the post slipped away.
MSN Messenger may be one answer to help "Bump up" the interest in CCC.
RogerWilco is another possibility.
www.rogerwilco.com is free and allows you to talk to people on the same channel that you are on.
I put these possibilities before you in hopes of generating interest in CCC.
I know I am new to CCC, so please understand that what I say are only suggestions I have to try to help.
Also...I would be more than happy to monitor
any MSN list that we may develope in the future, should the Club decide to go in that direction.

Some people use ICQ, which is not dependent on any particular service. It is free, simple to use and quickly available. It offers much more than the other IM's,like AOL or YAHOO.

Also, if you register your ICQ number with the message board an icon displays next to your name (see Ernie's post). This turns green when you are on-line.

So, in effect we already have something like this in place. All you need to do is log into this message board, then go to the "members" link at the top. Anyone with a green ICQ flower next to thier name is on-line and avialable...

Rich
