Post subject: To three gallant foes!

Gentlemen, I return from three fields with two victories and one defeat. Pvt. Scott Cameron of the US 1812 regulars has tried to break my lines at Crysler's Farm with admirable dash and elegance - he is a true disciple of "the god of war"! Unfortunately, his colonial rabble ran on the first volley of my regulars, never again to reappear. Had he had any decent troops under his command, the outcome would have been quite different! He is a dangerous opponent, and I am looking forward to our next meeting at Lundy's Lane with mixed feelings ...
My old friend and foe Pvt. Windham of the US Eastern department had virtually never any chance when my regulars steamrollered over his significantly outnumbered poor colonials at Rhode Island, in a full 1776 campaign game. After 13 turns, we agreed to end the slaughter and I gladly handed his sword back to him. I know what he can do with the right means at hand, for he had me on the ropes for too long on other fields! We are now moving on to another meeting where hopefully the odds are a little more even.
And here comes the sad part of the tale. Ens. Mingoe Roads of the colonial irregulars is the first ever to best me in this here club. At Queenston, I lost several companies in early encirclements. My courageous Indian Warriors took the colonial CiC with them when they tried to turn the tide in an surprise attack on his flank and rear that ended in their complete annihilation. Surrounded by far superior numbers, I finally offered my sword in turn 29 - a very sad moment ... However, I feel it is not really a shame to be defeated by such a gallant and skillful opponent.
Gentlemen, my hat is off to three gallant foes! Raise your glasses in their honor! Cheers!!
