Thanks Col. Sands. I'll march to the border forthwith!! I think I'll pick something starting in 1813. Which scenarios are the most fun to play? I notice in the completion there are several which are as yet untouched. Steve Davenport Pvt |

I am pleased to present to you, our anxious new recruit, Private Steve Davenport, 36th US Infantry. He is one of Al's boys now, so we expect much from him. Not to mention, he has assumed the command of Gary McClellan's old regiment. Have at them Steve! Lt. Colonel Mike Cox New Jersey Militia (1st Hunterdon Cty) AdC American Army Training Staff All Around Nice Guy |

What I don't get is why are you Rebels trading your regiments ... the 36th used to be Gary's? Utterly confusing for a British officer ... I'd never yield command of The King's Own. Lt.Col. D.S. Walter O.S.M. Dierk, Gary jumped back in time. He was in the 1812 group then jumped over to the Northern Dept. which is 1776 era. Lt. Col. Al Amos 1st U.S. Dragoons 1812-R |

Dierk, to make a long story short. I was the 36th when I joined the club, but then Mike and David were looking around for someone to take over the Northern Department, and all they could find was this one poor foolish enlisted man in the 1812-R, so they picked him up, left his 36th Infantry behind and stuck him on a horse ![]() In other words, I was transferred because I was being "groomed" to be Northern Dept Commander, and a Department commander really should be in the department.
