With the release of F&I, it of course creates a number of interesting changes in the sides, and a question occured to me.

Will players from one army be able to team up with players from another in MP.

My thought is this. Imagine a mixed force of British regulars, and Colonial troops (not an unheard of occurance in this war). Would it be "legal" to have an MP game where a British officer takes command of the british troops, and a Colonial officer takes the troops raised by the colonies?
(Same effect in some battles with French and Indian of course)

I think it would be okay since two of the club's armies, American and British, were one and the same during this war.

A good question Gary. It will be interesting to see the ruling on this one. [:)]

The same would be true of the Indian Alliance. The Senecas fought on the side of the French in the beginning of the F&I war, against some of their Iroquois brothers, but later joined the British. So tribes could also be on both sides in the same battle. Really the only limitation throughout, should be the French and British could never be on the same side for any of the three games in my opinion.

The answer is simple (well maybe not THAT simple):

"You can start and play a sanctioned game, playing any side. The only penalties will be if you play against a member in your own army."

In essence, a member of any army may BATTLE versus any other army in the club using any of the supported games and play ANY side.

This is an interesting question, concerning MP games. I haven't discussed this with anyone, but my thoughts are it would be a BATTLE, even if the OPPONENTS are British and a Colonial. It would positively be a BATTLE, if the opponents were the French and an Indian Alliance member. (or 2 French players vs the British and Colonial)

The idea is to open the play up as much as we possibly can to allow a wide latitude of options and opponents.

I hope this helps to clarify the premise.
