This scene is the storming of the Chew House at the Battle of Germantown. I had the pleasure this past weekend of firing my musket out the second story windows of this historic home in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. This painting is a very accurate rendition which was painted this century and the artist visited the site just to make sure he got many of the details correct. However, there is one thing about this scene which was not accurate to October 4th 1777 can you be the first to identify it???
