| Post subject: | Lightning Scenarios? |
I posted part of this message at the American tavern. But then I realized that there may be those, even amongst my cunning opponents who share the interest I have: developing a handful of very quick, but entertaining, scenarios! If these "lightning scenarios" were strung together into a campaign, it could make for increased "traffic" in battles and campaigning. What started this interest was trying to interest my teenager son in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Two hours later, I started hearing his gripes... along the lines of "WARNING: WARGAME MAY TAKE ACTUAL TIME!". I am developing some guidelines for what would make for a quicker - - and perhaps more entertaining scenario. And would be interested in discussing them. There is a difference between "replicating history in as interesting a way as possible", and "replicating tactics with the maximum INTEREST"! Comments encouraged! George Brooks |
