Rich Hamilton has just sent me this communication regarding a trial scenario I sent him: "I have placed it on my site, though not tied it into the HTML as of yet. In the mean time though you can give out this link and people can download it:" http://www.hist-sdc.com/zip/balcowpens.zip The scenario has the following features: 1) it is the same duration as Cowpens; 2) both forces have identical command structures and numbers of men; 3) both forces have ONLY 100 rifles; 4) both forces have 1 artillery; 5) the scenario is assumed to happen long before the historical Cowpens, and N.E. of the Cowpens location near Suck Creek (yep, that's what the map calls it!); 6) the scenario starts with both forces learning that they have camped on opposite sides of a ridge from each other, and they are now seeking to defeat each other to obtain the high ground. 7) the scenario has both forces with 2 objective hexes and a stronger emphasis on points scored via casualties. An army can win even without gaining the high ground by inflicting substantially more casualties on his opponent. ![]() Please feel free to ask me any questions about this scenario. I'm trying to make it as enjoyable and as credible as a balanced scenario will allow. If anyone wishes to fight against me, that would be fine as well.
