I just read the following "Grenadier companies were split into two platoons with each to anchor an end of the regiment's line." - THE GREAT FRONTIER WAR Britain, France, and the Imperial Struggle for North America, 1607-1755 by William R. Nester Although logical, I had not heard of this practice. Anyone hear of it before? |
