To try to clarify the topic of early terminations, here are some very <u>rough</u> statistics from the game archives: In somewhere near 2600 games, about 1100 have ended before the natural ending. So it is very common for terminations to happen and many members have used it and should continue to use it. Please remember that BOTH players have to agree on the outcome of early terminations! If one player does not agree, then the game continues. For myself: 145 games, with 46 ending early which is about average at 33% Al: 130 games, 60 ended early about 46% Pat: 21 games, 11 early (only 3 early with a win) so about 52% So what does it all mean??? It means that almost 1/3 of ALL games end prior to the natural end. Therefore it is <u>COMMON</u>! <font size="3">There is nothing wrong with <u>REQUESTING </u>a termination bid; your opponent has to agree, if they don't you play on, otherwise the game is over. It is fairly cut and dry. If you do not agree, you play on. </font id="size3"> |
