I was saddened to hear that Redmond Simonsen passed away this last week. For those of you who don't know who he is, he is truly one of the giants that created the wargame hobby that we enjoy today. He was one of the two key men at SPI, and the probably the most important graphic designer in the history of the hobby. While people like Roger McGowan may come up with "prettier" stuff, there can be no doubting the overall impact that Simonsen had on our hobby. http://www.wargamer.com/news/news.asp?nid=1801 |
