I've been reading "Sword of the Border", a bio of General Brown (really good) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books One of the little bits in there is that after the war, the good General ran into serious financial trouble because he went into a land deal with... Marshal Grouchy Yeah, that one... Wavre and all that. Wierd, huh? |
