| Post subject: | Battlefield Visits |
I plan on seeing many of the battlefields (or as many as I can) of the 1812 and American Revolution while on vacation starting June 9th. I arrive in Baltimore on the 8th and will check out Brandywine first. Then move up to Buffalo and see Lundy's Lane if its still in good condition. The scoot on over to Saratoga. Will then go to New England for a whirlwind tour of the states and shoreline. Also want to see the countryside too. Down to TillerCon by the 17th. After the con want to visit some ACW battlefields in Virginia. Et cetera. Can anyone recommend any other battlefields that are really worth my time? Will definitely be going to Yorktown while near Richmond but really want to see Colonial Williamsburg too as well as Jamestown. For the 1812 battlefields: is there one that I dont want to miss? Hope to run into a few of you guys. Email me and we can plan on meeting up for a short visit at the battlefield if you like. I believe that one of the members I played lives right near Saratoga. Was that you Phil Prete or someone else? |
