| Post subject: | Washington's Guard |
I keep seeing references to Washington's Guard. What was it's composition and strength? I assume it was a sort of headquarter's/personal bodyguard unit. Was it all mounted, or were there foot, or artillery elements? Was it just troops drafted daily from the various line units? Thanks for any and all help. al |
