Post subject:  Horse Artillery?

I suspect it's rather unlikely that any colonial artillery of either FIW or 1776 (less certain about 1812) would have been the equivalent of Napoleonic horse artillery.

However, since the game engine permits the possibility of creating "horse artillery", would it make sense that lighter guns (eg. 3pdrs, 4pdrs and perhaps also 6pdrs) and also rockets should be counted as "horse artillery" to distinguish them from heavier, slower moving artillery such as 9pdrs, 12pdrs and heavier siege guns?

After all, if a scenario contains a variety of different gun calibres - perhaps ranging from tiny 3pdrs up to heavy 32pdr siege pieces - does it really make sense that they should all have the same level of mobility?

So what I suggest is that rockets and any gun under 6pdr should always count as "horse artillery" and that 6pdrs should count as regular or "horse" depending on the scenario - thus if there are quite a few heavier guns present then the 6pdrs would count as "horse", whereas if there are few heavier guns on the battlefield then the 6pdrs would just count as ordinary artillery.
