Post subject: Wanted: Frenchman for 1758 Campaign

Reading some of the recent challenges by some of the feisty new French recruits reminded that nobody from the French army has felt the edge of my sabre to date. In order to remedy this I would therefore like to challenge a French officer to the Campaign of 1758.

My preferred options:

ON:
Quality Fire Modifiers
Quality Melee Modifiers
Higher Fatigue Recovery Rates
VPs for leader Casualties
Isolation Rules
Partial Retreats
Automated Def Fire
Flank Morale Modifier
Line Movement Disruption
Weak ZOC

OFF:
Manual Def Fire
Rout Limiting
Rifle Fire Effects

ON/OFF:
Optional Fire Results
Optional Melee Results

I'd also like to play with the following rule (thanks to Bob Breen and his tournament rules):

When moving adjacent to visible enemy unit, units must do so in line (either regular or extended). You can not melee with regular infantry units in column. Indian units are exempt from this rule. Cavalry units are exempt. It does not matter if you are going to attack the unit or not, if you see it before you move, you must be in line as you move adjacent. The only exception is if the hex does not support movement in line, such as going over a bridge, in that case you may remain in column. If the hex simply disrupts a unit in line then you must either accept the disruption or nor move into the hex.. If you move next to a hidden unit while in column, you must change to line before meleeing (bridge hex excluded).

Any takers for this grand adventure?
