I just got to tour Cowpens for 2 hours and then only had 1 hour to do King's Mountain. The parks are really good. The movies telling the story are also worth a watch. Stopped by Waxhaws on the way back to Fayettenam (Fayetteville, NC), but could not find Waxhaws battlefield, did see Andrew Jacksons birthplace. He was 13 when the slaughter by Tarleton occurred.
