Post subject:  Question re: Multiple Commanders

How are disrutpion, rallying, and leader death/promotion handled by the game engine when an OOB has 2 leaders for the same unit (btn) or larger body of men (bde or div). Such is the case at Camden, where the OOB lists Col Stone as the "senior" commander of the 1st Maryland -- he's listed first in the OOB -- and Lt Col Howard as the "junior" commander.

I'm guessing that the leader listed first is the one used for un-disruption calculations. True?

But while both are alive and active, can both/either use their leadership ratings to rally routed troops under their command? I've noticed that when AdCs and Majors of Brigade are present, they are actually incorporated in the OOB as leaders of a btn with no actual coys in it. Thus they are not actually in the chain of command for the the brigade and seem to have no affect on rallying troops under their Brigadier's command.

Finally, what happens if the senior commander (in this case Stone) is killed or captured? Will the engine promote another subordinate commander to take his place, as it would under normal circumstances, and bypass Howard? Or will the engine recognize the double command and simply leave Howard as the 1st Maryland's sole leader?

Yours inquisitively,
