Gentlemen: I have agreed to become the Aide-de-Camp for the War of 1812 Unit, under the leadership of Col Davenport. I was asking a few people to see if the units listed under that heading is historical correct for this period of time. I was only able to find history on two of the Infantry Units - the 1st and 4th. What I am doing, is that I am now a member in the Regional Section but if I am going to be the Aide-de-Camp in 1812, I need to be over there. Now, this is my problem - I am from South Carolina and I want to honor my State. That is why, I joined the Regional Army - 2nd South Carolina Militia. Now, what I am asking - First of is the Units Historical Correct, and is there any Units like the 1st or 4th US Infantry that is from South Carolina. If not do you know of a Unit that had a South Carolina Leader - like Wade Hampton - I have NO idea what Unit he was Commander of. Any help would be appreciately...
