[steps to the center of the pitiable tavern] "Shouldst any man here be willing to cross a sword over a diminutive field in the F&IW ... here stands your match! Your Health, gentlemen, and God save the King! "Do so kindly see my clerk and secretary, for your choice of field. Mind you, be it small but exciting .., much of how her ladyship last described you?!" |
