There is a new book out that is generating a lot of interest throughout the Rev war re-enacting community. It is "Zeal and Bayonets" by Matthew Springer, University of Oklahoma Press. I believe you can only order it direct from UOPress right now. It covers the tactics and formations used by the British forces here in the colonies from the AWI start to finish. It resulted from Mr. Springer's PHD thesis. I have no ties what-so-ever to the publishing of the book or the author, but just sending this out as an FYI. |
