![]() Are there any know issues when opposing players have different versions of Windows in use, in this instance my opponent is running Windows 7 & I, Windows xp. We are in the midst of the MAW campaign: Mexican-American War when, a few turns into the 3rd battle, "Error Reading Battle File" messages begin appearing (either when opening a just-received turn or after closing a completed turn) resulting in an unplayable cpf file. Any suggestions or solutions that anyone may have would find us both very grateful. Corporal Bill Keys 1st Maryland Regiment/Maryland Brigade/2nd Division Continental American Army and myself, |

Quote: I'll post any solutions they provide. Hi Thomas, Several things come to mind. There's no Windows issues, but you need to make sure and "Zip" game files when sending them back and forth. Also, the temp files ( ending with .xxx & .yyy) are likely corrupted. Both players delete the temp files. Go back to the last good turn file, do not watch the reply Zip game files when sending If you do all that you will get back on track. Not watching the replay for the first round ensures any bad data stored there is not loaded - it is discarded with the subsequent turn. Regards, Rich |

I think it does matter for the Campaigns, particularly the EAW series.. |
