Post subject: | Summer 2013 Tourney Updates.... |
![]() Battle of Lexington Green Officers of the Club, I will use this post to provide updates about the ongoing Summer 2013 Tourney, which will turn into a Fall Tourney as well too.... We have 22 members of the Club playing, which is a great number of folks, more than I realized. A good portion are from the British Army, but a sizable group from the French too. Many of the "usual suspects" so to speak that support Tourney's in the Club. Their participation is appreciated, no doubt! The first scenario played was developed by Al Amos and was his new Lexington Green design. It is only three turns and went fast for most. There are a few folks still working on finishing up due to delays. The current scenario most are playing is the Action at Spencer's Ordinary developed by David O'Conner in the Early 2000's. It is #34 in the Campaign 1776 Scenario Download section: http://www.wargame.ch/1776/1776scn.html This one will go for a while at 24 turns. The next scenario has yet to be chosen. I am picking on consultation with Garry Cope on what scenario downloads will be best. Eventually we will branch out into other games, but 1776 is the game everyone owns. The idea is I will have folks step out into different games after a while, especially if they are happy with their gaming partner, I will send them off on their own path. I would like to mix it up the first half dozen, dozen games, just so folks can get to know each other, if they don't already. It is also so new recruits can get to know each other too. Fun is the name of the game, as it always is here at the Colonial Campaigns Club and you can't put a price or number of points on that. I will eventually have Bob Weir design us a ribbon for those who engaged. This also might morph into something long term, we shall see, especially if Al keeps giving us scenarios to play. Steve Colon has a set I am going to examine too that I think we can use. Keep an eye out for more updates as we roll along! REMEMBER! You can join or leave the Tourney anytime....there is no end point and no end results, just open gaming...I really shouldn't even call it a Tourney as it is more of a matchmaker system than anything.... As always any questions or comments, post here or email me: eric2900@aol.com |

![]() Officers of the Club, We have just over 30 members of the Club participating now. A great turnout in my eyes and hope everyone is having fun. Everyone is involved in Spencer's Ordinary now and all seems to be going ok. We are preparing an AGEOD group for play shortly. If you own AGEOD and want to get involved email me: eric2900@aol.com The Tourney is certainly going to stick around for a while, so be sure to take part. The next HPS scenario has not been chosen yet. |
